Hey Everyone: I have a very annoying problem and I can not seem to figure it out. Any help would be much appreciated! So, here is the problem... I recently came into a toshiba m35-s320, that had a bad hdd. I happened to have an ibm r40 with a bad mb but a good hdd, so i swapped them out and it works perfectly now. or so i thought.... now when i boot up the toshiba with the ibm hdd, the brightness of the screen (which is usually set with the FN button) is at about 1/2 the brightness. i tried to use the FN button only to find out that it doesnt work anymore. i went to the toshiba website and downloaded the correct drivers so that i could fix my problem and now i get an error saying that it can not install those drivers on this computer. i forget the actual error msg and will post it later (when i get the laptop back tonight) if its needed... so my question to everyone would be: how can i fix this? can i remap a key to do this for me? or how can i get these drivers to load properly...honestly i dont care if the button works, but i need to see my screen. are there are other work-arounds for this? Thanks!!!! |
