There is a good case for disableing posters called Gerg ;)

312858 2005-01-10 22:39:00 While I'm glad posters had a chance to experiment with them when this new forum setup first started, maybe it might be an idea for posters to now approach BB or one of moderators about the poll you want to run and get their OK.

It is a handy tool for those running the forum to see what topics seem to be of real interest each month and also note the no. of visitors/lurkers that those topics attract. Like anything in life, it is subject to abuse eg. ambiguous or unobjective wording of choices which lead to unbalanced results. Just my thoughts anyway.

312859 2005-01-10 22:42:00 Who cares? If you are not interested in the poll, don't look at it. Tony (4941)
312860 2005-01-10 23:07:00 To be honest, I go along with Tony's perspective - I don't participate in a poll unless I feel muchly one way or another. My only motivation for taking the *p* outta poll creators is that mostly they're pretty frivolous - however they can be useful in helping someone decide on a piece of hardware etc I suppose. Yeah yeah, thanks a lot Cicero - just don't set up a poll for it!

312862 2005-01-11 21:21:00 Only those polls that are totally biased towards one side or the other. Why no options for the opposed voters Greg? Afraid your idea might be shot down in flames? |llus|oN (645)
