638041 2008-02-06 21:54:00 True, only thing is, I dont have another standalone MP3 cd player.

And , I dont know of anyone around here who does.

Hmm It doesnt look like this cdburnerxp burns MP3 CD's, only normal Audio CD's.

638042 2008-02-06 22:02:00 I use Ashampoo 6 & 7 (www2.ashampoo.com) it does convert the MP3 to audio Example (www.imagef1.net.nz).

It is also the one thats on many DVD's that come with the mags. If you want to try it downlaod and install, if you need the free mag key , should you decide its Ok , PM me and I'll send it.

638043 2008-02-06 22:07:00 I lied, it does support MP3 CD's. I selected the data cd option.

And you guessed it, the cd skipped lol. So, it does sound like these CD's are the prob. Because the cd's skip after I burn these MP3's in Nero, and CDburnerXP.

But the lightscribe CD's are OK.

I think one of those versions are in one of the Netguide mags, I've got here, with the code to download it.

638045 2008-02-06 23:22:00 Yup looks like the cds were knackered.

Took them back, the guy at the counter expected me to pay 1/2 for the replacement lol.

I dont think so.

They tested one, said it was OK. I told them, they skipped in this stereo.

That was the end of that. They tried to say not all dvd players play MP3 CD's.

Funny thing is, I've burned exactly the same MP3's before, and they played no prob at all.

In the end they took 1/2 of them and gave me 1/2. Since I only took 1/2 of what I had back.

Burned another MP3 CD. Voila, it worked first time, using CDBurnerXP.

638048 2008-02-07 00:13:00 Interesting story there Speedy. But somehow I still can't understand that the disks were the actual problem. Ah weel, nevermind, you got it sorted. Greg (193)
638049 2008-02-07 00:26:00 Well its strange that I wasted 7 cds and all of them skipped.

With the batch of cd's I had, when I made an MP3 cd with Nero, then CDBurnerXP.

And it was fine with another blank cd (lightscribe cd).

First time.

With the same version of Nero (that didnt work with the old batch).

And after I replaced them, the first cd I did was fine as well.

And it would have been strange if 2 different programs said the burn was OK.

But the cd didnt actually work properly (when the songs were skipping).

I know the burner isnt the prob, it does everything else no prob at all.

BUT, if the burner was faulty, I would have taken it back too, since its only 6 mths old (or just under).

The only thing thats confusing is, the cds I sent back were fine, when I used the data cd option in Nero.

They burned fine, and every cd I added a menu to opened, no prob at all.

The only diff between the old batch and the replacement is one had a printable label (the old batch), and the replacement was silver on both sides.
