314753 2005-01-16 23:40:00 I usually don't bother with them, even though I've got plenty (and a tool to pull them tight and cut off the excess).

I mostly use "bag ties". You can get a reel of the material (a wire inside a plastic strip) very cheaply in the Warehouse garden area. (It's sold for fixing plant labels). The card usually has a cheap and nasty shear to cut off lengths. :D Sidecutters work better.

These are quick to install (just wrap and twist the ends --- no threading) and are equally easily removed.
