I've posted before about trying to get Teletext recorded either on a pc thru a tuner card or on a DVD recorder....

I have got two TV's both with Teletext, the problem is that any video recordings we currently make have no information recorded for the decoder.

What I have found is that a S-VHS recorder can do the job so that on playback the decoder in my TV can decode the subtitles for my wife.
Problem is these are as rare as hens teeth so it seems.

The other option that has sprung to mind is the NEC plugin decoder that used to be around, infact i used to have one, so that I can place it inline before my standard video recorder and record the program with subtitles already on to keep her happy.

Has anyone got one lying around, or if your at a garage sale or 2nd hand shop please think of me and let me know where it is and how much etc.

Cheers

Mark

317042 2005-01-22 22:16:00 I've got a NEC decoder here somewhere . Just have to find it!

I stopped using it, when I brought a TV a few years ago, which has teletext built in .

I've still got the remote for it tho . Which should still work OK .

317043 2005-01-22 22:53:00 That would be great if you could find it.

If I recall correctly it only has a RF in and out for the aerial connections?

I'm in south Auckland so If you wish to sell it let me know where you are and shipping costs etc.
How much does it weigh?

Cheers
