639156 2008-02-12 23:30:00 I wouldnt put the voltage all the way up to 2.2, that is the limit, try 1st 1.85, 1.90 etc!

Dont worry about the latency, you can tighten it later, get the system stable 1st!

639157 2008-02-13 00:07:00 Reinstall Windows, (clean install), install the mobo drivers, then the sound/LAN/video card drivers. And updates.

DON'T install ANY drivers from the WU site.
I have done that today, games still crash :groan:

I haven't put the voltage up to 2.2V,that what my motherboard has automatically selected.Should I put the voltage down to 1.85V and try gaming? Then increase the voltage in small increments?

639159 2008-02-13 00:13:00 Well if it continues to crash I would definitely replace the ram. Speedy Gonzales (78)
639160 2008-02-13 00:15:00 I just brought the RAM.What RAM would you recommend if I replace it?.When I test each stick with Memtest it comes up with no errors but as soon as I put em together it starts coming up with errors. Krisby5 (13221)
639161 2008-02-13 00:49:00 Are you running RAID on this or something??

I dont know what this entry is in the log you posted

Was this something you installed?

O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [36X Raid Configurer] C:\WINDOWS\system32\xRaidSetup.exe boot

This entry may belong to malware or a trojan.

Run HJT tick this entry, then tick fix checked

Close brower/s, reboot.

If you KNOW what this is, it should be OK.

639162 2008-02-13 00:54:00 No im not running RAID,it is a Gigabyte program that I installed from the mobo cd.I can easily activate RAID with that program if I want. Krisby5 (13221)
639163 2008-02-13 01:09:00 I have done that today,games still crash :groan:

So you formatted the hdd right, then reinstalled windows?

Not reinstall XP over itself?

I'll post this in a GB newsgroup. See if I get any replies.

639164 2008-02-13 01:12:00 I put my HDD in my parents pc and reformatted it using Disk Management in Admin Tools in XP.Thanks for all the help/suggestions so far. Krisby5 (13221)
639165 2008-02-13 01:15:00 So, have you got the XP cd to reinstall it??

You could have formatted the hdd / done a clean install with your XP CD.

No need to put the hdd in another computer, to format it.
