639126 2008-02-11 01:11:00 My system only crashed when I was playing games.Fingers crossed for it not crashing when I try to game again:badpc: Krisby5 (13221)
639127 2008-02-11 01:14:00 I would say it should be fine then.

If the same BSOD comes up with the same file. Either uninstall the creative drivers again, and delete that file (p17xfilt.sys).

Reboot.

Then reinstall the creative drivers.

Make sure if youre using Spybot (teatimer) its disabled. It can stop programs putting info in the registry.

Or kill the sound in the game.

639131 2008-02-11 04:13:00 You didnt install the drivers for this from the Windowsupdate before too did you?

Did this card come with drivers on a cd?? Did you try them, if they did?

I installed the drivers from the cd that came with the graphics card (Call of Duty 4 still crashed) then I updated the drivers by getting them off the XFX site

639133 2008-02-11 04:24:00 Go here (www.nvidia.com) and click on Graphic drivers.

See what comes up.

If some version comes up download it. Uninstall the XFX drivers first.

Is COD updated, if there are any patches?

Ok,i'll uninstall the XFX drivers and get them directly from the Nvidia site.
All the games I have on my PC crash:badpc: (Call of Duty 4,Command and Conquer Tiberium Wars,Company of Heros and Battlefield 2).

639135 2008-02-11 07:15:00 I would get this (drivers.softpedia.com) and install it

Uninstall ALL videocard drivers. Boot into safe mode, run drivercleaner pro.

Select Nvidia and click on start.

Reboot. Then reinstall the Nvidia drivers. Disable any anti-virus programs before you install them.
