Basically between the time you type in Google.co.nz and the data gets from google to you, it goes through a good 7-10 hops. At any one of those hops, somebody could be monitoring....... This is why I use gaim and gaim-encryption, because the same applies for Instant Messaging! |

Can an ISP read anything sent/received with an SSL session? no one can read an SSL session, it is encrypted from your end to the other end and no one can read it. An ISP could read all you non-ssl data but unless you are wanted by the FBI then i think they have better ways to fill in there time. |
