Not sure about the price as I can't see it on Dell's NZ site.

What will you be using it for? Any gaming?

639079 2008-02-10 07:41:00 How high end is your CAD?
What CAD apps do you use?
RAM requirements, are they over or under 4GB?
Aside from it being a business expense, what is your price ballpark?

My prog is Nemetschek Allplan and 4GB is adequate.
Typically **c is priced at the high end. The 24" though does look in the price range.

639081 2008-02-10 08:21:00 Well you can go with the 24" iMac, it will run Windows and Leopard which will cover you for apps on both platforms.

You could consider the Dell all-in-one although as it is not available in NZ, and was rated just under the iMac I would go with the iMac.
You can check this link for info on Leopard which is up to version 10.5.1 with 10.5.2 update pending.

Just make sure that you get the extra RAM from your own sources as Apple charges like a wounded bull.

I was just looking at mac's and I thought it would be a space"saver"? Instead of having to look after the box below the desk.

639085 2008-02-10 19:10:00 A cheaper solution, would simply be a separate monitor and a SFF (Small Form Factor) Case which could even be placed behind the monitor. stormdragon (6013)
