639186 2008-02-13 09:22:00 That's rather crap. Gigabyte is renowned for their quality and reliability, same with Crucial. Kingston is I think the world's largest memory manufacturer, and I think if Gigabyte can't support them properly, then that's just crap.

Or is it a chipset limitation thing?

Well I choose Gigabyte and Kingston because of their good reputation. It is rather frustrating.I have no idea if its a chipset limitation thing?

639188 2008-02-13 21:28:00 I'm pretty sure it is a chipset limitation as I've mentioned about my similar problem to yours with an Albatron motherboard and Corsair RAM which are both pretty good and respected brands.

If you're content with running it at 800mhz, well leave it as it is. Otherwise, you can always inform the shop of your issue and they may be able to work out a refund.
