I re-enter the correct password and click ok and close the screen but when I click onto outlook the box will reappear again. I can receive and send emails. | 638386 | 2008-02-08 01:45:00 | Welcome to PressF1 dianne. Is this in Outlook or Outlook Express? Go into tools - account(s) settings. How many mail accounts are in there? Are you with Xtra? :p |

2008-02-08 01:54:00 | The internet provider technician has taken me through all the obvious things and he has concluded that there is a fault with the computer but I was wondering if anyone had any further ideas . Can't tell you the outlook version as it is my neighbour who has the probelm. I can tell you that she is with clear and a new connection was made in an attempt to fix the logon box constantly appearing. She can connect to the internet and outlook does receive and send emails | dianne pierce (13385) | |
2008-02-08 01:57:00 | Ok, so does the error appear when dialing up, or when checking emails? | wratterus (105) | |
2008-02-08 02:02:00 | When clicking onto the desktop icon for outlook express | dianne pierce (13385) | |

2008-02-08 02:12:00 | Yes up to date with avg - scanned this morning | dianne pierce (13385) | |
2008-02-08 02:16:00 | Hmm you could try posting a hijackthis log, its in my sig. Put it in its own folder first then run it. Then click on scan the system and save a log. Then copy and paste the log here. We'll see if theres anything in it, that shouldnt be there.

2008-02-08 02:18:00 | Check how many mail accounts there are. I'm expecting there to be two - one with correct settings one without. IF there is only one, you need to take note of the settings, delete that account and re-create it. | wratterus (105) | |
2008-02-08 03:18:00 | wratterus - but I have already done that but the problem still persists. I will now try what speedy gonzales has suggested. Thanks both of you for your help | dianne pierce (13385) | |
