| 315823 | 2005-01-19 18:25:00 | can someone help me please..I am getting unknown MSN messenger popup even when my MSN messenger is not log in!If you are getting an "unknown MSN messenger popup even when my MSN messenger is not log in" then it may not have anything to do with MSN. It could be a great number of things, and some detail in your question would surely help us identify what it is, and therefore what to do about it! Sounds to me just like some spyware/virus/trojan type thing that just wants to get in your face, and exists in your system as a result of you saying "yes" a bit too much while running windows! Again... details please! :D |

| 315825 | 2005-01-19 20:42:00 | I doubt it's anything to do with MSN. Do you have both Windows Messenger and MSN Messenger installed? Or just one? If you've got both, it might just be that one of them is still signed in in the background -in which case, you'd follow Safari's suggestion and get rid of it. |

| 315826 | 2005-01-19 20:48:00 | Its just as likely that you have add-serving software installed on your comp,The spyware faq maybe where u need to be . The only pop-up that comes with MSN Messenger is the MSN Today rubbish which can be disabled via the rogram options . . . Unless what your getting is the grey window in the middle of your screen that tells lies and wants you to go visit a website,Thats a seperate issue and is a service that needs to be shutdown,If you can descibe it in a little detail or provide a screenshot we can clear it up quick smart . |
