639816 2008-02-12 21:12:00 Hi all,

Have got Office 2007 now (using XP), and in Outlook there seems to be a problem. On the right-hand side of Outlook, (under the To Do Bar), in the bottom there is a message saying "The operation failed. An object could not be found".

Also everytime I open Outlook, a bubble-type message pops up from the right-hard corner of task bar: "There was a problem reading one or more of your reminders. Some reminders may not appear"

What is this referring to?? My calendar and list of things to do seem to be working fine.

Thanks,
caffy

639817 2008-02-12 21:15:00 Did it appear after you Sent an email? (support.microsoft.com)

Is SP1 installed?

Even tho This is for OL 2003 (answers.yahoo.com)

It may apply to OL 2007, for the other error.

639818 2008-02-12 21:21:00 No, it's right there on the right-hand side always after I open it.

After it does the sending/receiving thing to check for new emails, that's when the bubble pops up.

and yes SP1 has been installed

What will happen to my emails already in Outlook if I create a new profile (as per the first link you provided)?

I've done what that website suggested: I looked at my Active Appointments, and they opened without any problems (i . e . there didn't seem to be any damaged items)

I then looked at View > Current View > Recurring Appointments and i don't have any there . So not sure what to do next .

My partner has just told me that on HIS Outlook, that very same box is occupied by flagged emails etc . for him to follow up on .

Perhaps because I don't have any flagged emails, this message is coming up in that box? What do you think?

639825 2008-02-13 09:14:00 Close Outlook and run scanpst and select your pst file that is causing problems.

Scanpst can be found in C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12
Your pst file is normally in Documents and Settings\username\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook

Failing that you could try making a new profile in Outlook and see if the problem stays. Then import all your data from the corrupt pst file, which will bring over all your emails, contacts etc.
You won't lose anything as a new pst file will be created and you will still be able to open your old corrupt profile.
