639694 2008-02-12 08:35:00 Hey i need a little help.

I have a desktop and a laptop that i would like to connect so i can share folders.

i have a D-Link DSL-504T 4-port ADSL router and i was told that i can connect both PCs with that.

Any ideas or websites that u know of?

Maybe a walk through even =P

Thanks in advance,

639695 2008-02-12 08:40:00 Well plug the main PC into one of the ports on the back, and the networked one into another port.

Then create and share a folder.

Make sure you configure any firewalls on either

Look for the FAQ on here.

639701 2008-02-12 09:16:00 Read the FAQ Stu posted.

Plug both into the back of the router. And that should get you on the internet, once you configure the ips under the LAN properties on both.

And then create and share a folder on both.
And configure any firewalls, if any are installed
