639437 2008-02-11 07:57:00 Hey guys. I have a stock cpu fan for a amd athlon x2 5200+. It is a bit noisy and I was just wondering if anyone had any recommendations for a quiet cpu fan that will work with my cpu.

I don't have to change my heatsink though right guys?

Thanks.

Buy it from there though, not iFocus if you want to get it...^^

That thing is a beast, and nice and quiet. Maybe a bit expensive though?

Thought of simply getting a fan controller, and watching temps, finding a happy medium?

639440 2008-02-11 09:11:00 Haha $100 Is a bit too expensive, But I have heard very good things about zalman coolers. My cpu fan is just fricken annoying, anything above 3500rpm makes me angry, sometimes it goes at 4500rpm. Then I get angrier ><. CaptainVincent (76)
639441 2008-02-11 20:35:00 What temps is the CPU getting up to? Have you got any case fans? Have you cleaned dust out of the case and cleaned and re-applied thermal paste to the CPU heatsink?

3500RPM is rather fast...
