318890 2005-01-28 08:52:00 I have been investigating buying my textbooks online this year... Apart from Trademe does anyone know of any other online reliable resources to buy textbooks from within NZ?

I found this site www.textbooks4u.co.nz which looks good, I have rung them and they were also very helpful.

I was just wondering if anyone has used this website and if so what was their experience?

Any other links or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

318891 2005-01-28 09:03:00 Ok a few questions, where are you situated? what town / city?
and can i also ask where you going to study? (im blonde, if its not obvious ill miss it)
and what sort of books are you looking for? what subject?

do you not have a good uni / tertiary bookstore in your town?

never bought online sorry, lots of second hand books tho myself....much cheaper option.

318892 2005-01-28 09:21:00 Thankyou beetle,

I have extensively looked at the second hand option, and have managed to pick up a few of the books I need through my local institution's, trademe and bookgoblin.co.nz.

however the remaining books are the latest 2004/5 editions that I need, so brand new is the only option.

Thanks again.

318896 2005-01-29 05:04:00 Have look at Medical Books (www.medical-books.co.nz). Otago should also be able to provide you a list of places where you can purchase your Nursing text books from - try asking them. :) Jen (38)

Thanks Beetle, much appreciated.

I have looked and found most of the textsbook I require in and around my local bookstores. I have also managed to find most of the books relatively cheaper online, on some of the websites you all have suggested, Thanks!

The www.textbooks4u.co.nz website just has the books for alot cheaper then I have managed to find them anywhere else, along with a very good delivery deal.

The site looks good and has a 128bit SSL secured credit card payment page, but I thought I would ask the friendly and helpful folk at pressf1 if anyone had used the site before. I guess I'm still very cautious about buying anything over the interent.

It would be great if site's could offer some sort of consumer guarenteed authentication. Maybe a "pressf1 safety authenicated certificate" :D

thanks again for everyones help.
