2005-01-27 06:52:00 | Hi Team Due to a purchasing duplication it looks like I may end up with a redundant copy of the latest version of XP Pro (includes SP2), still in its shrink-wrapped MS box. It is the real deal, not an upgrade or OEM version. Any ideas on what the going rate might be if I decide to quit it? I was thinking of putting it in Trade & Exchange as I am not into Trade-Me. I know I could easily look at T&E or T-M for ideas, and I probably will, but I anticipate a more realistic response from PF1 members. Cheers Billy 8-{)

2005-01-27 08:17:00 | I wouldn't sell for less than roughly $180. Up to $250 I'd say | ~sy~ (95) | |
2005-01-27 10:37:00 | Erk  DSE sell it for nearly $800 so I was hoping I might get a sucker . . . . oops . . . . kind person to pay around $350 . It wouldn't be a bad deal even at that price, but I guess I have to compete with the people who sell them cheaper (after copying the CD and writing down the key perhaps?) Cynical? Moi? Maybe if I throw in some other software and a shrink-wrapped copy of Windows ME (full, not upgrade) that I acquired in another life . Cheers Billy 8-{)

2005-01-27 11:18:00 | Well others sell it for around $590.... It's just a damn insane price MS has set if you ask me. I reckon it's worth around $200 and the OEM version about $120.

2005-01-27 11:56:00 | Nothing more than $235.00. You can now buy full oem versions along with a piece of kit - no need to get it with a new computer. | Greg (193) | |
2005-01-27 20:42:00 | Be pleased at the $200-250 mark, estatic with anything more . If you throw in ME, discount the overall income from the package to $50

Worth a try for a couple of weeks, if that dosent work go for the $200 to $300 dollar range, I wouldnt go under $200 tho. You could hang onto it and try and sell it with a computer, if you build them. |
