| 639924 | 2008-02-13 07:21:00 | Hey guys. Just wondering if it is safe to remove a cpu fan and put in 2 more case fans, 1 facing directly towards the cpu which will be 12cm. This will quieten my computer and leave it cooler? Is this safe? Thanks. |

| 639928 | 2008-02-13 17:43:00 | There are some passive CPU coolers out there, but if the cooler was designed to use a fan then removing this reduces the ability of the cooler to cool the CPU, even if you have a fan blowing onto it, it is not the same as having a dedicated CPU fan... Running a CPU cooler designed for a fan, without a fan is usually asking for trouble... |
