639531 2008-02-11 20:59:00 Problem with size of text sent to the printer.

If I receive an email with a very small font, no problem to enlarge it for me to read, but when it's forwarded on, or printed, it goes back to the original small print.

Any ideas how to fix the larger font before printing or forwarding. Thanks Ron.

639532 2008-02-11 21:06:00 Before printing, copy the text into a word document or similar, resize it then print it.

For forwarding, simply hit forward, then you can select the text, ctrl+a will select it all, and up the top of the page, where you have the font, size options etc there, adjust it to your preference. (10-12pt is pretty standard).

Many thanks for the reply and have the forwarding bit OK, but having a problem getting the text into word.
Have selected the text as you say and then tried to copy and paste it into word, but that doesn't work. Is there any other way??.
Regards Ron..
ps. The paste is grayed out in word..

Did you just try the key commands? (ctrl-c, ctrl-v)

Heres how it should go....

Open the email. Open a blank Word document. In the email, select the text you want to copy. On the keyboard, hold down ctrl and press c.

Select the word document, and make sure the cursor is flashing at the top of the page. Hold down ctrl and press v.

See if that works.

it does not matter what browser you are using, as Peter H has said the print size is controlled by IE

You don't have to do all that copy, paste thing, it might work but it is a long winded unrealistic solution to a simple problem.

639539 2008-02-14 16:58:00 Also check out your print preview, quite a handy tool. rob_on_guitar (4196)
639540 2008-02-15 22:52:00 Thanks for the reply, but what the preview shows is not what comes out from the printer.

The preview can show a lousy picture and can print out a good one and vice versa.

Cheers Ron..
