640005 2008-02-13 21:44:00 Hi Team

Freenet has been OK for the past few days, but now a new problem has arisen. I use FN solely to screen and download emails from a US legal group I belong to, and because of the volume of emails received from them, I access and screen my mail via mailwasher. Only relevant messages are downloaded.

Mailwasher logs in, opens the site and shows the messages OK and I can delete all the unwanted mail, but when I try to download the wanted messages I get the dreaded "The TC/IP connection was unexpectedly terminated by the server" message accompanied by the error number 0x800ccc0f.

I'm still waiting for a reply from FreeNet to my emails of a couple of years ago, let alone those of last week, so does anybody know what that error number indicates, and is anybody else having FreeNet problems again?

Cheers

640006 2008-02-13 23:15:00 What Anti virus software do you have ?

I have had similar issues with customers and in some cases it was the Anti virus/firewall software causing the connection Problems.

640007 2008-02-14 00:26:00 Billy T, you were lucky that the problems went away for you. My friend (who only uses the webmail access because she accesses her mail from several different computers) still has many problems. While some of her folders reappeared a couple of days ago they have remained empty (as has her address book), she cant send mail from Freenet and mail sent to her often isn't delivered. As usual there are no updates on their website other than one dated on the 7th (that was put there sometime after the 8th) and one dated on the 11th. Wrecker Jim (771)

We won't go there, whatever I have somebody will say that's the cause, but nothing has changed in my AV in recent times .

However, Orcon is now acting up again as well!!
