639976 2008-02-13 20:19:00 A friend needs some DVD burning software:

1) Can anyone recommend a good free DVD burning programme? (eg is there an equivelent to CDburnerXP)?

2) I have Nero (free version), can I copy this to a disk and give it to him? (I never read licences!)

Thanks.

[edit] re Nero, I have the Express version 5.5.9.9. If okay to copy it, do I simply copy the contents of the disk to my drive, then burn it to a new disk?

639977 2008-02-13 20:27:00 DVDFlick (http://www.dvdflick.net/) for video DVDs, CDBurnerXP burns 'data' (or whatever) DVDs as well.

Very good.

You should be able to copy the Nero installation disk no worries, do you mean that, or copying the actual 'program files' folder onto a disk? That won't work so well...

Thanks - that's all I needed to know (and just found out elsewhere by doing a bit if research my lazy self!).

Cheers for that.

639980 2008-02-14 03:30:00 BurnAware Free Edition is very nice as well, not to mention really easy to use. beeswax34 (63)
