323002 2005-02-09 10:04:00 Thought I'd give this a whirl,

Try a weekly Poll of something related to recent IT News.

Skype recently announced version 1.0 for their product in all OS's.

323003 2005-02-09 10:09:00 great poll. I use Skype alot for overseas calls. Although with varying success. Maybe the latency on bitstream is no good for it.
Suspect Telecom won't like people using VoIP.

323004 2005-02-10 04:58:00 VoIP is certainly interesting technology. I don't use Skype myself at the moment purely because I don't have a microphone headset

I have read a while ago that in America (I think?), that VoIP is becoming more popular instead of regular telephony and people just use special telephones which are always connected to their broadband. They also mentioned that they have struck technical problems with emergency calls as people using this technology cannot have their calls traced to a specific address. This was something they were working on to overcome.
