Writer is also intelligent as well.

Sure, I enjoy streaming clips of the news but I can also just turn my head slightly and watch it on my TV. There used to be some joy for me feeling secure downloading hefty Microsoft security patches, but now I've given up on Windows and got a Mac instead.

322563 2005-02-07 22:11:00 Beats me how they considered that waffle to be worthy of publising, why would anyone care if he has no use for broadband?

I'm sure many people change services without it being published on the BBC site.

322565 2005-02-08 20:04:00 Some good points in that article, makes me feel a lot better about being stuck on dial up too.
At least there's no worries about going over the monthly limit as mine is flat rate and the reduced cost helps pay for other interests.

322566 2005-02-09 00:20:00 and waht with all the big users going over to ADSL you find dial up is getting faster....

you can even run a webserver off a 56K dialup connection. like my website :-)

322567 2005-02-09 02:02:00 Well won't he feel stupid when the rest of the world get DSL/Fibre Optic internet and he's stuck on dial-up? Edward (31)
322568 2005-02-09 05:10:00 I wouldn't be able to get my weekly fix of Premiership Football (that's soccer to you kiwis) from www.uknova.com if I was still stuck on dialup. I would then have to subscribe to SKY and I'd get inferior coverage and end up forking out more loot.

You don't have to waste hours in front of a screen to make the most of broadband. Most of the time I spend is looking for good stuff to download!
