321817 2005-02-08 01:41:00 Frankfurters come from Germany where they do all their calculations in Base 8. Buns come from France where the national system is Base 6.

They were combined in the States where they only understand Base 10 so got it wrong.

OR

It is so the dog, who is on a diet, can share in the hotdogs without the carbohydrates of a bun.

321818 2005-02-08 07:24:00 The answer lies in the need for imbalance . The larger number of frankfurters vs hotdog buns is in fact a subtle parallel drawn against the development of humanity .

Frankfurters represent a challenge, the future, the unknown .
The buns represent a thirst for knowledge, a desire to achieve and excel .

Should the two ever match you would have stagnation and eventutally, entropy .

The underlying message is :

When we cease to question and postulate, our time is over

As philosphical as I get and about as a deep as a puddle but worth a try :nerd:

321823 2006-01-22 23:48:00 I am obviously too late but I would like to point out that no one got the real reason is not a conspiracy to do with food manufacturers, but rather the manufactures of fridges!

By the way I have managed to break my 512megabyte Compact flash so if you know about these things please view my new thread called "card error- compact flash"
