| 641915 | 2008-02-19 07:20:00 | this advert refuses to be removed. It loads from c:windows/prefetch to the taskbar then flashes with a balloon warning. Clicking on it opens explorer and takes you to purchase website. Does not show up under regcleaner or other malware programs. Booting in safe mode fails to pevent file from protecting itself so deletion impossible. Dont want to have to reformat and reload. all ideas taken seriously. can you help? | goinggrey (8662) | ||
| 641916 | 2008-02-19 07:22:00 | Get rogueremover in my sig below. Its got that in its database. It should remove it. Its rogue software. And get ccleaner (http://www.ccleaner.com) Install it then run it. Then go to the cleaner tab select / tick old prefetch files, then options / include / add folder. Go to C:\windows\prefetch, and add this folder. Then click on the cleaner tab then click on run cleaner. It'll delete the files in the prefetch folder. |
