| 641768 | 2008-02-18 21:54:00 | On opening a PDF attachment my xp uses WORD as the default although I do have the acrobat reader installed, can any one guide me on how to change that please::help: | pnbart (10961) | ||

From there, click the File Types tab, and scroll down the list until you find the PDF extension. If it's not set to open with Acrobat Reader, click the Change button, and browse to where your Acrobat is installed, and select that. Let us know if that works |

| 641771 | 2008-02-18 22:08:00 | I'd get rid of the hugely boggy adobe acrobat and install foxit reader (www.foxitsoftware.com) instead. This should also take care of programe associations as well (so will not open in word but in foxit) |

| 641773 | 2008-02-18 23:51:00 | Right click the file you want to open, choose "open with..." from the list of recommended programs choose Adobe Reader and Check "Always use the selected program to open this type of file" You can change any association like that to correct it. |
