| 641623 | 2008-02-18 08:54:00 | Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-8IPE1000 Pro 2 CPU: Intel 3.0 GH When the Power SW is pressed, all the fans spin, indicating lights ON but no input to the Monitor, no beep. Have to press the 'Reset button' then only be able to boot up the computer. Otherwise, everything works fine. Have checked & double-checked the cables connecting the MB to the Front Panel; all seems to be OK, according to the MB's manual.:confused: Any clues? |

Unplug the the plug(s) Labeled PWR and plug in the Reset in its place,push the power button - see what happens. If it boots normally then feersumendjinn's suggestion is correct. Maybe when the case was manufactured something hiccuped and put the switches in the wrong way around. |

| 641629 | 2008-02-20 03:44:00 | At switch-n the CPU will not reset and begin the boot process unless the PSU issues the 'Power_Good" signal within about 500 milliseconds. The reset often works as the PSU has settled down by then. Indicates a dodgy PSU, where the voltage rails are sluggish to settle on the correct voltage. |
