| 641225 | 2008-02-17 19:37:00 | my father has a compaq Presario F500, it runs on ok on windows vista ultimate, but the keyboard has a funny problem: when he tries to type the character [ @ ], it comes out as [ " ], when he tries to typr the character [ " ], it comes out as [ @ ] . but when he tries to type the number [ 2 ], which is the same key as the [ @ ], it functions nicely . same deal with the character [ ' ], which is the same key as the [ " ] . so basically the two key swapped when the "shift" key is pressed . :badpc: this is no biggy but it gets very annoying . could you guys please tell we what is wrong with the keyboard? a assume it is not a hardware problem . how can I fix this problem? thanks in advance, just any sort of help will be appreciated . |

Down on the task bar, to the left of the system tray can you see a little icon that looks like this (www.imagef1.net.nz)? Have a look in the settings, remove UK (if it's there) and set it to a US keyboard (standard). |
