| 641206 | 2008-02-17 16:06:00 | Need help. My sytem is Windows XP. The error message "Could not find the Macromedia Flash" keeps popping up on my PC. It doesn't matter what program I'm in or what I'm doing (even if I'm doing nothing at all). It started happening after I used Adware-Alert to remove spyware but I'm not convinced the two are related. Everything on my PC seems to be running fine, but the error message is persistant. I don't even know what a Macromedia Flash is!!! HELP!!! :confused: | kposner (13418) | ||
| 641207 | 2008-02-17 19:09:00 | Welcome to PressF1. Go into add/remove programs in the control panel. Remove anything 'flash player' ish thats under either Macromedia or Adobe. Go to www.adobe.com and download the latest flash player. If you want to reinstall Macromedia Player, go here (www.soft32.com). Probably be better to leave it off, it normally only gets installed by apps/websites that need to run graphic content that were made in Flash Player. |

| 641211 | 2009-01-20 02:32:00 | I had a similar problem. I went to C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash and copied "Flash9.ocx" and then pasted it back in the same directory. This created "Copy of Flash9.ocx" which I then renamed to "Flash.ocx." (Thus I had "Flash.ocx" and "Flash9.ocx", both the same file with a different name in the same directory.) or could be flas9a.ocx... just copy it and rename it, and keep it in the same folder. note; you are not removing anything only duplicating one file and renaming the new file ArgelD |
