Neither my printer (HP2300d) nor my digicam (Olympus C5050 Zoom) are shown on the lists of compatible printers and cameras. Hmmmm, they are hardly rare or esoteric bits of hardware. |

That is what I thought ninja (about the camera I mean). I can run the printer on Linux as well as Doze, so I wondered why there was a MacOS incompatibility. I recall that HP used to be a bit unpredictable about their attitude to MacOS when I was a Mac user. I have just checked the HP driver page and there are MacOS drivers for MacOS8, 9, & X. Must be a problem with the Apple page. |

Funny that there are drivers on the HP page, and I checked my manual too and it shows how to install Mac drivers, but the Apple page doesn't list it as a compatible printer. Oh well, Microsoft makes mistakes too, don't they? :D |

Oh well, Microsoft makes mistakes too, don't they? :D That Apple page is not a list of compatible printers, it is a list of printers that have the drivers already installed with OS X All you have to do is plug in your printer and it will automatically appear on the printer list on the Mac Printers not listed will need the appropriate drivers downloaded and installed manually. |

| 324275 | 2005-02-17 08:04:00 | My Genius mouse didn't even come with drivers, and isn't listed on their compatibility page. Mild worry there for if I do try the Mac Mini | Edward (31) | ||
| 324276 | 2005-02-17 08:33:00 | My Genius mouse didn't even come with drivers, and isn't listed on their compatibility page. Mild worry there for if I do try the Mac Mini Just plug any USB mouse into the Mac and it will be recognized immediately, the built in drivers work well. For Genius drivers go to this link, it lists the OS X drivers. www.geniusnet.com.tw |
