641336 2008-02-19 00:10:00 Has anyone used the Windows version of Safari?? I tried a beta version a while ago, and it was buggy as hell . . . . did seem to render pages damn quick though!!

And the damn font gave me a headache in about 10mins flat . Useless POC

641337 2008-02-19 00:15:00 I gather the first 2 versions of Safari on Windows had variable results depending on the user. Safari is up to the beta of v3 now for Tiger and Leopard, and possibly Windows. I know it is getting a LOT of use with iPhone users here and overseas. Apparently v3 has been tweaked a fair amount although I haven't really used it as I am a Firefox user. vitalstatistix (9182)

Mac and iPhone users use Safari? Who would've thunk it?

641340 2008-02-19 05:26:00 IE7 for me.

Best is what works for the person using it.

641341 2008-02-19 05:40:00 If a site only works in IE7 it has been badly coded by the developers. Firefox and Safari both adhere to w3c standards and also account for a considerable percentage of users now days which means that there is NO excuse for web developers to "overlook" their inclusion, where as to be IE specific you would only be "adhering" to Microsoft's "standards" which are a load of crap. vitalstatistix (9182)
641342 2008-02-19 23:15:00 Firefox is very good but does have some problems and it is not 100% secure either

Personally I like IE7 because of the way it opens tabs - links from a site are opened next to the same tab rather than at the end.

And yes, I have tried tabmixplus for firefox, but it doesn't do it 100% the same as IE7

641343 2008-02-19 23:25:00 Hi,

Which web browser is the best IE 7 or Mozilla Firefox? Mostly I am concern
security wise. But also want to know other advantages and disadvantages.

Thanks,

I prefer IE 6 to either of your choices. Have had it since first release and have had no security problem.
Anyway, what's on your computer that anyone woud want to breach security to get ?

641345 2008-02-20 00:20:00 Id go FF. But because its open source its not as good as IE7.

And why is that? I could name plenty of OS apps that blow the Microsoft equivalents away.
