| 641276 | 2008-02-18 02:01:00 | Leave bmnet.dll in there. It gets installed with the Vodafone software, and it helps to speed up connections, using some random type of compression... I'd completely uninstall and reinstall the VMC software, worked for me last time I saw this problem. Make sure you install the latest version, and when installing, make sure you run the .exe as administrator. Thanks for all your help guys, appreciated! Done but no joy... The three bmnet.dll's disappeared after I un-installed the VMC software and re-appeared after I re-installed it. I did download and install Java from their site but the latest one I got was 1.6.0.3? Latest log after re-install.... O16 - DPF: {CAFEEFAC-0014-0001-0002-ABCDEFFEDCBA} (Java Runtime Environment 1.4.1_02) - If it is uninstall it, and all previous versions of Sun Java, prior to 1.6.0.4. There must be more than ONE program you can use. |

| 641280 | 2008-02-18 20:22:00 | The lspfix deleted the following O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: bmnet . dll O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: bmnet . dll O10 - Unknown file in Winsock LSP: bmnet . dll Then the VMC software wouldn't work at all, reinstalled twice and still no go, couldn't get back on the net last night, finally uninstalled again and went through registry and deleted every reference to vodafone and reinstalled again, now back to where I was with error message sitting on the desktop . This program has been working fine for about 6 months then this annoying error message started last Sunday when i booted up . Just wondering, Microsoft put out some large updates last week (14th), maybe these have now made this software incompatible? As I mentioned earlier Vodafone maintain it's not their problem and advised going the MS site - tried that several times, lots of references to the error but no actual solutions . The java link . java . com/en/" target="_blank">www . java . com has one download button and that is the one I downloaded yesterday (version 1 . 6 . 0 . 3) - The other link . sun . com/javase/downloads/index . jsp" target="_blank">java . sun . com is a bit confusing, which one should I be downloading? Thanks in advance :-) |
