640970 2008-02-17 03:21:00 I have installed Photoshop Elements 6 and am getting the following popup when I log on. 'apdproxy.exe unable to locate component. This application has failed to start because ConnAPI.DLL was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem'. I searched apdproxy.exe and can see that it is to do with Adobe Photoshop but I have no idea what the popup means or what to do about it. Would someone please advise - thanks. I have Windows XP. bellbird (6169)
640971 2008-02-17 03:25:00 Reinstall photoshop album not elements.

Or have a read of this (www.adobeforums.com)

As it says on the site above, have you got a scanner as well??

The 2nd error maybe for a scanner

640972 2008-02-17 03:51:00 Hi Bellbird,

Following on from Speedy's post, in the link he gave you scroll right down to the bottom posting <No 62> and click on the link there to the Tech Note.
From that Adobe page click on the KB 403011 link and there is a quick fix for you

640973 2008-02-17 05:16:00 Thanks for solutions. I am a novice on the tech side of things so have done the quick fix and moved the mox file thingy to desktop and the popup didn't appear on restart so here's hoping. Now to try out the software itself. bellbird (6169)
