323714 2005-02-10 21:21:00 This article (computerworld.co.nz) talks about sponsored IT courses for people giving IT support in schools. What a fantastic idea... the $15 000 or so sponsorship is very cheap for what will be a major benefit in keeping schools' IT systems up to date.

Only problem? I was told by an associate that with my Bachelor of Education degree, and an appropriate IT qualification eg MCSE, I could walk into a job in the USA tomorrow and get US$100 000 plus.

323715 2005-02-10 21:33:00 hmmm....And there i was thinking the US IT job market was decimated by outsourceing to India and heavily reduced IT budgets and company closures.

Pretty sure there are thousands upon thousands of qualified and expereinced IT experts currently unemployed in the states at the moment.

LOL Good question.

1) I'd never want to leave NZ
2) I doubly wouldn't want to live in the USA
3) I don't have an appropriate IT qualification
4) My missus doesn't want to leave NZ either
5) I like slobbing, I mean working, from home
