| 1423781 | 2016-07-28 08:46:00 | Greetings For many weeks so far, I have been in Firefox and have logged on to the Huffington Post. Invariably I get the message that there is a problem with the script. Almost wholly I get told there is a script problem and the optians are to "ignore" or "continue", however, whichever option I choose it does not help. I have loved using Firefox for somewhere between ten and twenty years, but what am I to do ? I have reset Firefox and also looked at the mind-boggling, other options of going into the command line interface. I just want to get back to where I was (5/6 years ago) , with minimal hassles. Is there any way I can achieve this please ? Kindest regards Jim |

Simple solution is to turn of Java Scripts before loading these Huff pages. There's add-ons that can allow you to switch JS on and off with a single click. Problem is you don't know when you're going to one of these craptastic pages until you are bogged down in one (at which point it is almost impossible to escape the slow / unresponsive script problems. Best course of action: Close the tab (or the browser). turn off javascript and then return to the page. Other pages like online banking will not work until you restart java ad refresh the page. Gotta add, I really, really hate this issue. It infuriates me, and these scripts are of zero merit to visitors to the site. Maybe an ad blocker would also solve the problem. |
