1423581 2016-07-24 02:46:00 For those of you who have been in this business much longer than me, approximately how long do you think it will take for prices for these 2 GPUs to normalise, and at what price do you think that will be?

Thanks,
Skeptile

Each manufacturer - ATI or NVidia, put a card out yearly. 6 months between the 2 usually.

When you buy your card, be aware they have already started on the next lot...and the next generation isn't always an improvement anyway, best to check performance charts. Often you can save money by buying last years high end card.

1423583 2016-07-24 04:08:00 Well by normalise I just mean that they settle down. Initial prices are usually much inflated due to supply and demand obviously. The main reason I'm looking at those 2 is that I want to at least somewhat future proof with DX12/vulkan support and amount of vram - given that the amount of vram is what's currently limiting my system. skeptile2 (16539)
