1423466 2016-07-21 05:53:00 Anyone here had experience with fixing screwed Win10 "all apps" shortcuts.

In the 'all apps' (start menu)
MS outlook shortcut has issue. It doesnt point to the correct place (ie it doesnt link to outlook.exe)
I cant correct that link at all, Win10 wont let me right click & change the link.

The links should be in
C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
Sure enough, a correct Outlook link is in there, but "all apps" isnt using that link/shortcut.

%appdata%\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
The screwed up link/shortcut is in here is in here . Deleting it wont revert it to the correct shortcut/link above

any ideas . I managed a workaround, but Id like to have a real fix, to force 'all apps' to use the correct link/shortcut
??

1423467 2016-07-21 06:32:00 You could try rebuilding the Start menu, but no idea if that will fix one link though. #4 here (home.bt.com) Or going to the shortcut location and right click / Pin to start, while not in the list at least it will be there, OR right click /send to Desktop, and have and icon there.

Have you tried the sfc /scannow options ?

Of course you could also wait till August 2nd when the new version comes out, the "all Apps" is no longer there , and it may fix its self. :D

Interesting in that link WT, they suggest running sfc in powershell rather than cmd .

2nd Aug. Is Win 10 ug just clickbait then, "all Apps " to dissapear. thats what MS wanted all along (since 8) isnt it
....my tin foil hat is at the ready for Aug
