1420934 2016-05-25 18:42:00 Wow
I just read that Firefox has just overtaken all versions of IE as the most used browser.

But that Chrome is way a head of both of them.

A few years ago Firefox was ahead of Chrome.

When did Chrome overtake Firefox ? - I never knew that it had.

1420935 2016-05-25 19:23:00 Firefox is becoming a real PITA - so slow opening :(

Think I may switch over to Chrome.

1420936 2016-05-25 19:34:00 Firefox is still my browser of choice, chrome looks weird. Every time I have tried chrome I'm back on Firefox in less than a week.

Put chrome on my Linux mint driven laptop to try and solve a Flash issue that lots of forums said to do, now the updater in Mint is broken. Chrome has caused this.

Personally I prefer my browser to not be permanently be tied into my email account.

1420941 2016-05-25 21:40:00 Maybe Chrome's dominance is related to their aggressive pushy marketing. I was going to try it again but the constant nagging on any google sight that try's to convince me it'll work better on chrome annoys me so I have stuck with FF. Like pctek I have no issues with it. Maybe the slow loading is related to an addon? or maybe my system is just too fast for me to tell :)

And @ Gary67, Chrome doesn't have to be tied to an E-mail account does it? I guess if you log into Gmail with it that will happen but it's not mandatory. Not that I'm advocating for Chrome, just curious. We used to have it installed at work on XP and it wasn't tied to anything.

1420942 2016-05-25 21:42:00 I'd still like to know how long ago was it that Chrome overtook Firefox in market share. Digby (677)
1420943 2016-05-25 21:56:00 I'd still like to know how long ago was it that Chrome overtook Firefox in market share. What about the site you read saying it had ?

On a couple of different sites including the one linked FF is still way behind.

Firefox overtakes IE, but not Chrome gs.statcounter.com - thats uptil April this year.

On the same site, changed the graph to May, and its similar gs.statcounter.com

Old story -- post a link or it didn't happen :p
