1423248	2016-07-19 01:32:00	Hello CYaBro and thank for the reply, That's kind of what i want to do but right now i have a 8.0GB usb3 ready to go and according to their site W10 32bit need 16GB and W10 64bit need 20GB.Is it worth buying a external HDD just for the Update? Am i going to be able to downloaded straght on to the HDD? Will i be able to use it after 29 of july?	Kostas (17481)

Hello gary67 thanks for the reply on the post, Well you see i'm curently in college going to be a graphic designer(still a total noob) so i make projects and stuff on my pc. Point being that i cannot afford to buy 2 beastly Pc's one for gamming and one for projects and work so i use the same one(for the time)	Kostas (17481)
1423250	2016-07-19 01:59:00	Thats a little odd :confused: As long as the Key is legit then you should be able to download W7. Where it may fail is if its the OEM key on the computer ( name brand PC) sometimes they wont be recognized until they have been activated. If the Key was a Name Brand Factory installed key they don't work. Hello wainuitech and thanks for the reply, Could you explain to me how i could possibly check if they recognize my OEM key, and what do i do if they don't? I have definitly got a legit version of Windows i know that for sure , all i want to do is to create a storage space probably in an exteral HDD with legit versions of Windows. For example i happen to have Legit keys of W7, WXp , and W8. so i want to take the oppurtunity and create separate folders with the Windows versions in case i need to replace them or just want to change them! 1423252	2016-07-19 07:15:00	Why? I used my gaming PC for the business. Why would I need 2? I backed up all the time. Silly idea to have another PC just to keep invoices and accounts etc on it. Also...as another opinion, I decided not to go with Win10 and remian on Win7. In future I doubt I'll have a PC as such, at all. Yes but you were a tech. How many ordinary people who run businesses have regular backups and still let the kids play on their computer. I know several	gary67 (56)

Please contact the device manufacturer for software recovery options."--- Now What does it mean by saying "manufacturer": 1. The place where the Pc was bought? or 2. Microsoft which is the manufacturer of Windows? If you could help me out with that then that's great, i would start a new thread about this anyway in the future because i want to format my current Pc but do not have a Windows 7 copy downloaded. I know several I know of 2 home based accountant business who let their teenage kids play games on the work PC's. These are PC's with clients confidential info stored on . And of course, all were infected with viruses. :badpc: If fact , in one case above, the teenager would just go from PC to PC to PC as he infected each one in turn making it too slow for gaming . The real issue is, toll or toy . Use it for gaming , porning, facebooking and you have just turned the PC into a toy , and will that instantly changes the attitude to the PC the business is dependent on . Just the tip of the iceberg. Company staff wander off to lunch, leaving the workstation logged into the Companies Bank a/c (website). Seen it, often. Staff leaving PC's logged in overnight, in a open plan office shared with other companies . ....leave PC's logged in so cleaners & their kids can & do just wander up & start playing. These were intelligent people, they just didnt give a rats arse thats all. People are stupid , they dont do what techies see as smart IT behavior .	1101 (13337)

You will of course have the original COA key, or a genuine install key. Use that. Yes its sarcasm. Sounds all to dodgy to me. Possibly not a legit key ? The key above is what manufactures (HP, ACER etc etc ) use for preloaded win. Its a bulk key thats the same key across the product line. It cant be used for anything else, it cant be used with 'normal' install CD's . There should be another OEM key on the case somewhere (assuming its win7) , or another key embedded in the bios (win8, 10) Win10 ug should still work with that key though, if done as a upgrade & not clean install .	1101 (13337)
1423257	2016-07-20 05:14:00	Just adding to what 1101 posted: If you have run a key finder on the current install and its a name brand PC ( Dell, HP etc) then that key wont work. Most of the time even if you do have the COA sticker on the PC and its a NAME BRAND again HP, the COA you enter into that microsoft site still wont work. Had it many times when entering that type of key and it is legit, while the install of the OS accepts it, it still wont activate, so you have to call Microsoft and tell them you are using the COA on the side of the case, they ask for some details, and then they manually activate it. Unfortunately this is why that site where you enter a key to get the ISO is refusing it (assuming its a manufactures type of key) if the product key /COA is one that was brought from a shop in OEM packaging and someone built the computer then it should work fine.	wainuitech (129)
