Strange. NEC is a Japanese company and I don't remember any Americans involved with the NEAX program. Saw plenty from Northern Telecom (Nortel ) at the same time..

I forget who they worked for.... They contracted for the installs all over the world. (Can't be bothered asking him)

They were sent over to help with the roll-outs of the NEAXs. Husband did that part - as far down as Huntly I think) with them. Others did various other bits of the country with them.
They wanted him to go work with them after - the next place they were going was Egypt.

They were mostly from Tennessee, which isn't really relevant, took months to complete them all, then Husband decided he hated the new system, not hands on anymore so he took redundancy the second time round they offered.

1420701 2016-05-24 02:22:00 Apparently, I can't get my case escalated to higher authority. A 'junior' staff from Spark phoned me (she doesn't sound like a local!), but she couldn't give any explanation, it's going to be a waste of my time talking to her.

I then logged in to Spark Live chat -- OMG. This time, this girl/woman has great difficulties in understanding simple and short sentences of English!

I have to start asking myself: Am I in New Zealand, where English is our first language?
