| 1420643 | 2016-05-18 09:11:00 | Nah. First you'll get earthquakes (not army explosions). Then you'll see it smoke etc.... Like Pompeii...... Then you run away, far away. Yup, was living in Ohakune in 1995 when Ruapehu blew, used to go to the top of the drive and watch the eruptions. Down the road at the Powderkeg bar they were having eruption parties every night, all cheering when the lahars were coming down the side of the mountain! It got a bit ho hum after a while.... LL. :D |
