2016-07-23 23:13:00 | Hi folks. Last week I upgrade Firefox to v47.0.1. What a debacle with it since then. when I try to open certain websites for example Neighourbly.co.nz, I get a message - The owner of www.neighbourly.co.nz has configured their website improperly. To protect your information from being stolen, Firefox has not connected to this website Not every web site is affected but I do get others with the same message. Also when I am reading an article on Stuff which has a video, when I try to look at the video it reverts to a black screen with the message - No video has been loaded Error Code: PLAYER_ERR_NO_SRC I did a system restore back past the date I upgraded to no avail. I have removed Firefox twice with Revo uninstaller and removed everything pertaining to Firefox and when I reinstall it I still have the same problems. Firefox worked perfectly before the upgrade. Any advice would be appreciated. TIA Smithie

2016-07-23 23:21:00 | Is it 64 bit?? If it is, some sites dont work properly with 64 bit firefox. Facebook is one of them. I found that games on here (my mum plays them). It will stop working or playing if you try to play them in 64 bit firefox. The site you had probs with, works fine here. Just tried it. That was in 32 bit firefox I had the same prob tho, checking for descendants for the family tree I'm doing. But that was in 64 bit FF. I'll have to see if it does it in 32 bit FF

I have installed Chrome and everything works fine on that browser, but I prefer Firefox. Do you think it would work properly again if I installed a earlier version of Firefox. |

2016-07-23 23:38:00 | Install the 32 bit version of FF as well. If you want to keep 64 bit. I did that here for the sites that dont like 64 bit FF They wont install in the same folder. 64 bit installs in Program files. 32 bit installs in the x86 folder. Some of the sites I went to in 64 bit FF crashed the flash plugin as well. 32 bit FF worked on the same sites

2016-07-23 23:58:00 | Download the 32 bit version then install it (www.mozilla.org) If you installed the 64 bit US version, install the 32 bit version, the link before it above

2016-07-24 00:52:00 | Tried that but still the same result. Looks as though I will have to use Chrome in place of Firefox. But Speedy many thanks for your replies to my query. | smithie 38 (6684) | |
2016-07-24 00:59:00 | Looks as though I will have to use Chrome in place of Firefox. . Why? Just install the older version of FF and turn off auto updates.
