1423431 2016-07-20 00:27:00 CCleaner has a duplicate file finder built in. Haven't used it so can't comment, except to be careful when deleting, some duplicates may be required. Terry Porritt (14)

Thanks Terry, I'll check it out later tonight. They usually make good stuff so I'm hopeful.

I won't be even looking in among the System Files, Just duplicate MP3's, DOC, MP3's and the like.

1423433 2016-07-20 10:05:00 I have good results with this one http://www.easyduplicatefinder.com/ though my version is quite old. tommy (2826)
1423434 2016-07-24 01:37:00 Well that little bit of housework took longer than expected, but for the records I found the Duplicated File Finder that’s part of Ccleaner perfectly adequate for finding duplicate Photos and Music. It is easy to use and I’d give it 10/10 so far.

I also downloaded EDF-4 that Tommy gave the Thumbs-Up to but it came up with nothing, which might well be a plus for Ccleaner rather than a minus for EDF-4. I’ll keep it too and next time run them the other way around and see how that turns out.

So thanks Terry and Tommy, I seem to be over that hurdle which leads me onto the next.

It strikes me as being sensible the clone a tidy disk, rather than an untidy one, but I’ll start another thread on that aspect. :)
