| 642401 | 2008-02-21 06:27:00 | Got a PC in today to fix for a friend . . . Local Area connection was set to static, but wasn't working . . . . I reverted back to DHCP, and it now shows connected, but the connection status under the support tab is completely blank . ipconfig /all comes up with: An internal error occurred: the request is not supported Please contact Microsoft blah blah blah . . . . Additional Information: unable to query host name . What's the consensus? I've posted a HJT log on here too - looks like there's a lot of nasties (Spyware Doctor found 512 infections), so I'm wondering if something has killed the TCP/IP stack? Thoughts?? :badpc: |
