| 642344 | 2008-02-21 01:56:00 | Hi, as a grandfather of 10, I get handed down various computer gear that the throw away generation consider outdated. A recent acquisition is a Compac iPAQ, complete with a small keyboard and of course the MS operating system. I really have no use for it; having gone over to Linux sometime ago, and never had the need for for one in the first place. But I wonder if it is possible to change the OS to something like Puppy or PCLinuxOS's minime. I know Linux (Ubuntu in my case) can connect with these pocket machines, but I've no use for that; this is more of an academic exercise. Thanks to those who reply..............sarum |
