Just reading the real site, I can't believe what Windows users, er... I mean legitimate Windows copy-holders, have to put up with. Being a non-Windows user, I am now aware of the difference between an OEM and Full Package Product licenses, which makes most Windows users I know of criminal pirates. This is due to the OEM license dictating that the OS lives and dies with the box (HD really). So if you have to upgrade your HD, you are legally obligated to buy a new copy. This is unbelieveable.

There is mention of the benefits of a real license: "Genuine Windows software offers real benefits to you, providing the reliability, security and compatibility you need to help you work to your full potential. Compatibility maybe, but security and stability?

And no, this is not meant to be flame-bait.

328002 2005-02-25 03:01:00 Security concerns are of course very real.

MS lisensing is the result of pure arrogance.

But whats this about stability?

XP is rock solid, If an XP machine is unstable then it needs to be fixed.

328004 2005-02-25 03:38:00 Metla's right, XP is a very stable OS.

Mine has NEVER crashed, it's a rare thing for an XP system to, and if it does then there's something wrong with it. A linux system will crash if there are problems with it too.

PROGRAMS crash sometimes but never the OS itself.
