Too expensive, and I have broadband instead.
Whenever away in a hotel with Sky, I tend to find that there's nothing on it worth watching anyway.
I have a tendency to prefer the more interactive aspect of computing and find I get a bit restless after about 30 mins of TV watching.
You can hire a few decent DVDs for the price of a SKY subscription.

327073 2006-01-28 22:48:00 Because they don't cable their transmission via broadband to this address. eef2 (1904)
327074 2006-01-28 23:00:00 I'm really enjoying staying at a place that doesn't have sky....

What a waste of time and evenings staring passively at a screen and switching brain off.

327075 2006-01-28 23:06:00 And I agree with Antmanzz - that I prefer the interactivity of the net, so No, I do not have Sky. Another reason is that the only crap that they don't have is sport - live. It's the only live sport worth watching that you can get. Ah, well will have to go to Eden Park more often (I hate that place :horrified ). eef2 (1904)
327076 2006-01-28 23:10:00 What's the point, DVD is better anyway Agent_24 (57)
327077 2006-01-28 23:36:00 We have digital sky but not the usual sky channels, we don't have any of those instead we get the foreign lang channels.

we could add the usual sky channels on it but it gets too expensive. something like $120 a month, at the mo its $60 I think.

for the net we are still with dialup.

327078 2006-01-28 23:44:00 No, as said above its Too expensive & we have enough channels as it is to fight over (1, 2, 3, 4, 5(Prime), & Triangle TV), and we have broadband & we also watch a few DVD’s. stu161204 (123)
327079 2006-01-29 00:25:00 No. Prefer broadband. Scouse (83)
327080 2006-01-29 00:57:00 Nope. Too expensive, and if I'm paying for content I want NO ads. I don't see the point in paying to watch a channel and then getting the ads as well. Ok the movies have no ads, but I'd rather watch a movie on DVD. Then I can watch at my leisure and pause if I need another beer etc. Sb0h (3744)
327081 2006-01-29 01:45:00 Yes, got sky digital, 2 decoders, why? because where I live all we can get is sky digital, NO free to air, IE TV 1,2,3, Prime, or UHF. :groan:

Why 2 decoders? because there is always an argument of what to watch when we do watch TV
