With the server setup with a domain called the same as your registered domain name when Exchange sends mail to an address with your domain name eg. user@mydomain.co.nz it will only send it to a user account on the domain. Once you have all the users setup as users on the server then you should have no problems. You have it setup as a DNS server so since the server domain is mydomain.co.nz it will not go looking outside the network for your registered domain name. In fact you don't want it to as this would cause all sorts of problems. The problem comes when you want to go to your domain website and the internal server can't find it as it will not look outside the network. This is when you use a forward but thats nothing to do with email!! HTH |
