| 642233 | 2008-02-20 19:51:00 | So I'm currently trying to find a 26"-ish LCD TV for my bedroom. Pretty much it's only job is going to be running on an Xbox 360, so performance with SD sources isn't really that important to me. Since most panels this size seem to be 1366x768, I was planning to use the VGA cable and run at 1360x768 (closest VGA resolution the X360 will provide) and hopefully avoid evil overscanning. The obvious question is what brand? I'm trying not to balloon too far over the $1k mark. There seems to be a ton of cheap Viewsonic LCD TVs floating around, but am I better with a more established TV brand? Not that anyone seems to have bothered buying the cheapo Sony U series either :p I'm fully aware that budget TVs are going to give budget performance... I'm just after the best I can find in that category. Any advice would be much appreciated. |
