327403 2005-02-22 09:51:00 I'm going to buy a copy of Ghost, mostly for peace of mind. But apart from a couple of very satisfying transactions with Amazon (music), I'm a rooky. I need to know a bit more about buying software on line. I thinkI understand that some sites, like Nero will download a trial copy then charge for a code number to make it permanent. But Ghost only seem to have two options, either mail a boxed version, or download a copy after receiving payment. I wonder what happens if the download fails. And do they help you to verify that your copy is complete?

I suppose I could get a copy from Amazon (mailed) they certainly make it easy.

Any tips from anyone who has done some online buying would be real good.

Which way is best for Kiwis to buy software?....Cheers Ken.

327404 2005-02-22 12:59:00 I would say if you paid online they will email you a username and password to log into their website, to allow you to download the file, you could probally have as many turns as you want at downloading. Rob99 (151)

327406 2005-02-22 19:18:00 I'd start by reading the reviews comparing Ghost and Acronis True Image which is a much smaller download and US$20 cheaper. PaulD (232)

327409 2005-02-24 10:10:00 Ghost can easily be purchased from Dick Smith if you'd like to get rid of the buying online aspect. Jeremy (1197)
